AV Engineer
KEY ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Accountable To :
- IT Manager
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The AV Engr’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Client Management – Building and maintaining client relationships, advising clients on best practice, technical risks and potential procedural
- Team Management – Direct management of Events Technicians and working with Operations Manager to ensure all projects are resourced effectively
- Fault Reporting Management – ensure all faults are reported and escalated in accordance to contract SLAs
- Attend all planning meetings and be responsible for resource scheduling, crewing, technical briefing
- Share management duties of technical staff in the delivery of live projects across all sites
- Work with specialized production (internal and external) and facilities companies in the provision of required services
- Maintain good communication channels with clients, get to know their technical requirements and choose the right solutions
- Project management across multiple client sites
- Attend/coordinate production meetings
- On-site management and overall responsibility of projects
- Providing a concise technical brief to the relevant parties
- Outsourcing and booking of hire equipment and additional services when required
- Technician duties maybe required as needed
- Post-event wrap-up report and meeting, including identification of incidents and problems and ensuring these rectified prior to future projects
- Share knowledge and best practices across the entire IT team
- Identify area of potential technological/operational improvements and consult with the relevant stakeholders
- Carry out all operations when required, usually involving out-of-hours commitments
- Awareness of, and compliance with the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety policies and procedures of the client and the company
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Team Building:
- Promote and deliver team collaboration whilst maintaining team morale
Appraisals:
- Execute annual performance appraisals for on-site and regular one-to-one performance management reviews
Work with Operations Manager:
- Work with Operations Manager to identify opportunity for team training
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in IT
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related industry
