Farewell Matthew Roche!

Having recently announced the rebranding of our company by changing our name from Modelcraft to CRAFT, we have another important announcement regarding our management structure. Matthew Roche, who co-founded the company in Australia in 1989 and in more recent times was it’s Group CEO is stepping back completely from day to day operations to focus on other business opportunities.

“I’m incredibly proud of the growth and evolution of the company from humble beginnings in Australia to being an international player in delivering exhibition, museum and event experiences. My decision to step aside from the operational aspects of the business is testament to the maturity the company has now reached and the exceptional caliber of the management team.” Said Mr Roche.

CRAFT has established itself as a major presence in the fast growing and highly demanding Saudi Arabian experiential market, having achieved an enviable reputation by delivering several high-profile projects in recent years, including the design and build of the Riyadh Metro Visitor Centre and the Jax01 Gallery, and the recent activation of the landmark façade lighting system at Digital City.

CRAFTs CEO, Orazio Moretti commented on the announcement by saying. “It’s been an honour to have worked with Matt over the past 13 years as we built the business in the Kingdom. Whilst he won’t be active in CRAFT from now on we are looking forward to continuing the momentum and growth that he oversaw for so many years. I wish him continued success in the next phase of his career”.

Having not only survived but flourished during major challenges like the 1989 recession, Asian Financial Crisis of 1997-99, global financial crisis of 2008 and now a global pandemic, the company’s resilience during times of change stands it in good stead for the future. It has also pivoted it’s core competencies from a traditional artisanal industry to being a world leader in the adoption of digital innovation and machine learning technologies demonstrating the necessary agility and innovation to respond to market needs.

Whilst Matt intends to take a well-deserved break for a few months he is looking forward to using his considerable experience and skills gained in Australia, China and the Middle East to advise businesses across the world.

We would love to work with you.
