Jeddah Season 2019 – Beit Al-Balad Visitor Center

Beit Al Balad was built in the early 20th century in the Hejazi architectural style as the British legation’s headquarters in Jeddah. Craft was tasked to completely renovate and transform the derelict building into a museum housing artifacts, photographs and ephemera documenting Jeddah’s history. This transformation and the grand opening of the visitor center was timed to coincide with the Jeddah Seasons 2019 festival.

Craft was completely responsible for the design and construction of the exterior and interior of the museum, to be used as a VIP starting point throughout the Jeddah Season festival.

  • Interior and exterior lighting design
  • Exhibition design and installation
  • Interior design and furniture specification
  • Artwork selection and procurement
  • Interactive displays and touchscreens
  • Projection mapping on walls and scale model
